Easter P.2

Of course we colored eggs. Does everyone else have a carton of colored hard boiled eggs in the fridge for weeks after Easter too? I've been forcing us to eat them...but I'm starting to feel a little "Cool Hand Luke"-ish.

I tried to let Isla help by coloring the eggs with crayons...but she just kept poking holes in them then taking bites...shell and all. So she got exiled to the high chair with a peeled egg (not as interesting) and her favorite...an orange.

We went to Grandma Mayer's for Easter...and the Saturday before when we went to the local park for the Easter egg hunt. Isla, again, was a natural.

...

And Campbell...well...it's confirmed - he's a pretty terrible egg hunter. This is pretty much the last one that he got. (Yes, that's 5 eggs - there were kids/locusts running before him with larger baskets overflowing.) I'm proud of him for not being greedy and for being very polite...but I just felt bad for him when he realized it was over and said disappointedly "I really just wanted to find more." Fortunately, he stopped caring much when he discovered that most of the eggs had stickers and bizarre plastic frogs inside.

And the Easter Bunny delivered on Sunday morning. Here they are finding there baskets - we failed to get any photos of the hunt that ensued. He felt VERY triumphant because...well, he had virtually no competition, they were actually hidden rather than thrown on the ground and the Easter Bunny just happens to know exactly what his favorite things are.

And for those who like to watch blog videos (probably Grandma & Grandpa, right?) I have to post these two. Isla LOVES playing the little Monkey Jumping on the Bed so I had to take a video (she can do this much better...but just not on camera):

And while I was out of the room I overheard Campbell saying the Monkey Jumping on the Bed for her so I grabbed my camera and when back in. She's not particularly cooperative for him, but I thought it was hysterical because he doesn't wait for her to "fall' down to bump her head...he just pushes her:
