I can't believe it - he looks so much older! But at least now he can see.
As of now he has absolutely no hang ups about glasses. He actually wants to wear them more than he's supposed to (only supposed to wear them when needed for distances).
And on Sunday we got to experience (as Ammon puts it) our "First ER visit."
On Sunday Campbell fell backwards in his chair (he was tipping his chair and it went down like every teacher ever told you it would). He cried with me for a long time before going back to Sunbeams. Then later his teacher mentioned to me that he was really sleepy (which I thought was really strange). During Sharing Time he started to cry again and since I was teaching they took him to Ammon. It finally all came together when he threw up on the church carpet - he had a concussion. After repeated vomiting and suspicious behavior Ammon and a friend (thanks Ian!) gave him a blessing and we decided we to take him to the ER. Poor guy, I've just never seen him look so sick! The Dr. ordered a CT scan and while we were waiting for our turn...Campbell miraculously got better. No headache, no stomachache, singing, laughing, jumping. We called the doc in again and he agreed that he was probably fine and let us go (with orders to watch him closely for 24 hours). So the bottom line is that it can take a blessing up to 3 hours for full effect - but very effective!

I have had to make that ER visit too with Isabelle (minus the vomiting) and she too was running, jumping and laughing by the time the doctor arrived and I even felt a little foolish for bringing her in. It is scary and I am glad that he is alright!!!
Spencer bonked his head doing the exact same thing.... although he had no vomiting or a concussion, thank goodness. Just a whole lotta tears. And even after that, he still leans back in the chair.
The glasses are pretty cool!
