8 Months

I feel like this 8th month is the month that Isla really became a person. She's started saying her name...again and again and again. It seems as if she's announcing "Don't forget Isla; I'm right down here and I have an opinion too!" We also get to hear "Da-Da-Da" and "Hom-Ma." Of course her words seem to be more repeating sounds that she hears a lot rather than the name of a thing (like Campbell's first word and love, "Baallll") but I am sure she's saying these things deliberately.

This month she's also been religiously working on crawling, pulling herself up to a stand and sitting up from a lying position...three feats she accomplished on the very morning of her 8 month birthday! What a day! (I caught that first crawl...well, 2nd crawl on my phone and posted it in my last entry.)

Favorite toy: glasses (grrr), remote control, shoes (yuck), paper airplanes, anything floating in the bath
Favorite foods: water from a straw, applesauce, carrots, sweet potatoes and FRUIT PUFFS
Favorite pastimes: Johnny Jump-Up (little monkey), baths
Favorite things to see: dogs, colorful balloons
Favorite tricks: giving raspberries (sweet slimy Isla kisses) and clapping
Favorite brother: Campbell

(Campbell and Isla's reunion after 5 days apart...they were both soooo excited to see eachother!)
