So I really wanted to have the tradition of Christmas pics of my kid/s with Santa each year...but as it turns out, little kids really
really hate this idea. (Maybe it's the "he sees you when your sleeping.") Anyway...the past years have been dicey:

This year...well, see for yourself. Santa was at a church party which means that the pics were free (...
FREE, CAMPBELL). Ammon couldn't believe I was
forcing Campbell towards Santa kicking and screaming (
FREE, AMMON) but I was determined and this is the best pic we got (I guess Campbell kind of gave in knowing that I wouldn't stop until he looked at Ammon and gave his fakest smile ever.)

Luckily this Mom knows Photoshop...so
this is how we'll remember Christmas 2008 in years to come. (Except, of course, when Ammon exposes me for living a lie - which, of course, he is threatening to do and which is why, of course, I decided to come clean on the blog and douse his thunder. Ha ha.)

In other news I've discovered that if you use a lot of praises and just the right tone of voice you can actually get a 3 year old do some difficult work for a heavily laden Mommy...mostly picking things up off the floor, mind you - but the floor is the hardest place for me to reach. I was happy to get my little elf to decorate (with great pride) the lower half of our Christmas tree.
Then he did a little celebration dance.

I also got to enjoy a fabulous baby shower. Isn't it so much fun to have cake, be the center of attention and get to open lots of presents? Of course! (something you never grow out of, I guess.) Now this baby better darn well be a girl!

You look so good! I wish I could have been there for the shower!! Do you need anything??
My favorite is year 2. The look of sheer terror is classic.
