X Games and Trains

Ammon and I are total X Games lovers. We headed up to San Marino on Thursday night to leave the boy with Grandma and take the Metro down to Staples Center for, well, we went specifically for Moto Freestyle Best Trick (our favorite) but ended up being completely blown away by skateboarding Big Air. Hello 70 foot ramp meets a crazy person on a tiny skate board...it was awesome! And the Metro was great! No traffic, no $20 parking! Here is a pic of us in our nosebleed seats, and one of a tiny blur going off of the jump:

And speaking of the boy...I don't want to jinx anything, but he's spent the entire day in big boy underpants! Whew-hew. Now he if he could just make it to the toilet. One thing at a time, right? He's doing it for what he calls his "potty train." (We have a new train and some new tracks waiting for him above the toilet so whenever anyone would refer to "potty training" well, he just put 2 and 2 together.) Here he is playing in a puddle outside (no, not one that he made) - he does look pretty cute in underpants:

He was having so much fun in one little puddle that we decided to break out the hose and play front yard water park. Here are some pics of me misting Campbell down, and getting a soggy hug:
