My big boy finally turned three. (Now perhaps he's the age he looks. ;-) He was a staunch corrector if anyone called him "three" before his party (imagine him yelling at the top of his lungs, "I'M TWOOOOO") but as soon as that party started he began announcing that he was, in fact, three. He's been in absolute denial today each time I've said "Happy Birthday" or told him that it's his "real" birthday. ...But, of course he didn't turn down the birthday ice cream cone. (He chose chocolate oreo with rainbow sprinkles.)
We had a little birthday celebration for him on Thursday with some friends, a dump truck cake and a pinata. Campbell thought he was the king of the castle and really enjoyed his special party. And he's still enjoying his new toys! (It's hard to tear him away from the house.)
