Happy 4th of July!

This is how Campbell spent the fireworks show:

Luckily for him it didn't last very long. After braving the "zoo" that was once downtown HB this morning for the parade, we decided we didn't have the energy to go back for the fireworks. So we headed to a more low-key "neighborhood show" sponsored by someone we know (but are conveniently forgetting their name). It didn't take too long for the police to show up and save Campbell.
Not the end of the story, though. We took a little while leaving (you know chatty Ammon) and just as we were getting into the car round two of the fireworks started (yes, he's a renegade). Since Campbell had no blanket to hide under this time, he actually HAD to see a few of them. He admitted that they were indeed "pretty." But he thought the noise was much too scary. (I suppose I have to agree...when you're sitting sooooo close, it's really loud. ...and I totally remember being afraid of fireworks when I was little.)

His birthday celebration was another story. He had the BEST time being the King of the Castle. I'll post pictures soon. Tomorrow we take Ammon to his ship bright and early. :-(

Hi Kristen--I got your blog address from Erin Feinhauer. Chris was just talking to Jackie yesterday. We are coming to CA on Sunday--hopefully we can catch up and see each other. Check out our blog!

Haha, I think Spencer's opinion of fireworks is the same... he sat on my lap and kept saying "should we go inside?"

My 4 year old and Campbell would get along. Andrew watched with his hands over his ears.
