Our Ward and Stake decided against Easter parties this year...and then our little playgroup decided against the City's cattle call style Easter egg hunt. Which means we decided to have one of our own. I booked our pool house and we all pitched in bringing cookies to decorate, stickers to stick (not my favorite part) and eggs to find. All the kids were under 5, so it was a GREAT easy paced egg hunt. Just right for the inexperienced and/or sensitive seeker. ;-)
Here are some pics from the event:

And (all you who live in Utah or back East may want to turn away for this part) it was SO HOT and the pool was SO NICE that the kids couldn't bear it -- so they got in. Yes...our March Easter party turned into an impromptu swim party. I bet you don't hear about that happening very often.

Campbell and I spent the rest of the weekend (plus) at Grandma Jackie's house. And, although Ammon and my Mom thought it was totally excessive, Campbell got another Easter Egg hunt on Sunday morning. (Hey, I only have one child - I think that means I get to spoil him rotten.) At my Mom's Ward I realized that it's not the time slot that makes Campbell horrible (I've been condemning time slot since we switched to 11am) but that it's just fact that he's 2. That's all I'll say about church.
The day rounded out with Easter Dinner with my extended family who are tons of fun and ALWAYS have excellent food. A new haircut for me. (I love Megan.) And another hunt for the special Easter present that Daddy left for Campbell.
Monday was another scorcher so we played in the water at Kidspace. I'm really only including this pic so that you can get an idea of my new hair. Ooooooh yeaaaaaah...bangs.

Cute hair! And could you please send some sunshine and warmth this way? I'm still freezing.
Love the bangs. I look ridiculous in them, but I admire those who can pull them off.
