With Grandma and Grandpa Madsen in town, who had time to think about Ammon? We went to the beach and the aquarium and the zoo and Disneyland...whew. Throw in a time change and you've got a pretty crazy schedule. Unfortunatly Campbell was in rare naughty form...but -- I think Brent and LaDawna have seen it all before. ;-)
Here are some of the highlights:
.
Grandma and Campbell rocked the Teacups while those of us with weaker constitutions stood by watching. Campbell and I went home for a nap in the middle of the day, but when we went back we stayed there until 9pm...Probably the latest Campbell's ever stayed up! Quite a day! .

Who is this child's mother? I'd be so embarrassed if I was her. He must have been raised in a barn.
The best part is when I heard him telling Grandma "I'm washing my hands." I looked over to see that, yes, he was really washing his hands in spaghetti.

Campbell got a little one on one time with a peahen. Campbell was a little skittish...but the hen had absolutely no fear...you could have just stoked her if you wanted to...but we didn't want to.

Campbell can't get enough of trains. (He had enough of the train conductor, though. When he came to talk to us Campbell said, "I need him to go over there," pointing to the driver's seat.)

We visited good ol' Mrs. Knotts for some chicken dinner. I wish I had a picture of Campbell spitting out a bite of cherry pie in absolute horror. He even started to cry. Like father like son - Ammon has the same feelings about cherry pie. I thought that if I didn't tell him what it was, he wouldn't be able to distinguish if from any other pie. I guess I was wrong.

And this was my photo of the week.
.
.Then yesterday Campbell was getting very upset with his toys and trowing them. I was trying to figure out what was wrong when I finally asked him if he was sad because Daddy was gone. He said "yes" and burst into tears. Ok...so I guess he does miss Daddy. But Daddy called him on the phone and now he feels happier.

The other day I caught Spencer rubbing his dirty, milky cereal spoon all over his head...he informed me that he was washing his hair. What a proud moment for me.
Nothing like a little naughtiness to keep things lively!
