Another week, another petting zoo

We got to visit a real pumpkin patch/farm today with our class to pick vegetables and, of course, pumpkins. Campbell got to pick green beans (Ammon will be really excited about that), onions, radishes and carrots. I didn't realize what a good child laborer he would be...well, I guess he has shown these tendencies around Grandma Mayer's tomatoes.

Green beans,

radishes,

and of course the perfect pumpkin ("...it just looks soooo much like a ball maybe I can sneak in one little kick.")

I thought the tractor-wagon ride around the farm was such a good mother/son photo op but Campbell seriously objected to sitting on my lap ("look at the camera").

And, of course, the petting zoo. They even had a pig, which I thought was pretty cool -- BUUUUT Campbell here wouldn't touch it...perhaps that's best. (He did, however, INSIST on a piggie cookie cutter when I let him choose one at the store a couple days earlier - note the cookie on the green plate below.)

Here are my boys making cookies for FHE.

Translation: "Thank you for the cookie, Mommy."

I LOVE the video! He is so dang cute! He will be a natural farmer after all these animal seeking trips...of course, you would have to move back to farm land for him to fulfill that dream :)

Those child labor laws can be pesky, but just claim that he's not legal and they'll totally leave you alone. :)
