It's FALL! (...you can tell by the Halloween decorations)

We took the annual trip to the local "pumpkin patch" to enjoy the fall festivities. It's was actually a blast...here's a pic of Campbell in front of the measuring scarecrow last year and this year. As you can see Campbell's grown quite a bit (while Ammon seems to have shrunk a little). Ahhh, it's not really fall without a measuring scarecrow. ;-)

Campbell got to feed a hungry goat (which he seems to have done a lot lately: see the fair entry below, http://spencerandparents.blogspot.com/ and they even had them at Disneyland...which I'm getting to.)

We spent a family night making caramel apple slices. Yum. By the way - that's the way to go with a much higher caramel to apple ratio and greater ease in the eating. Even so, I don't think Campbell ate ANY of the apple.

We snuck in another trip to Disneyland where we caught a ride on the carousel. We also visited Big Thunder Mtn Ranch which has a sort of fall festival going on (with goats) and the Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion...so, in the past Campbell's had great fun at the regular Haunted Mansion but the Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion may have been a little too scary...oops.

And we send our congratulations to Rich and Jaime who just had their darling little Kate http://richandjaime.blogspot.com/.

Is that the pumpkin patch we tried to go to but it wasn't open yet...? Looks like a jolly time. We're hoping to get Spencer to one around here soon. October is going to slip away before I know it.

Thanks for the shout out and the link, K.

Great blog - I love the title of this post, which those outside of California might not fully appreciate.

The best line of your post? "Ahhh, it's not really fall without a measuring scarecrow." My thoughts exactly.
