School Time

Campbell started a new school for 2nd Grade.  The teacher is very enthusiastic an so far we love her. 

Here is the first day:

 

Here is Campbell at his desk and his whole class posing on the playground.  See how Campbell is the only one making a silly face...I think that's a little foreshadowing for the year.

 

My friend has a tradition of making her kids (each) a 1st day of school cake. I love the idea, but recognize that I just can't have that much cake lying around the house so I thought of a donut cake. It was a big hit. :-)

A week later we had another 1st day...this time Preschool.  This girl was EXCITED!  And, of course, she LOVES it.  She doesn't even mind brushing her hair for it.

And Isla's donut-hole cake.  It wasn't until I looked at the pics that I noticed that there is a bite out of one of the holes.  Too funny.

This is how Cooper looked on the first days of school. Good thing he has another year to get his balance and running skills down.  (He tripped running on the sidewalk.)  It was so sad...but no worries, it's all better now.
