6 YEARS OLD! (Can it be true?)

Campbell on his birthday morning. Officially 6 years old, officially playing with his official birthday present.
He could hardly wait for his birthday party. In fact, the first thing he said in the morning wasn't "it's my birthday!" or "where's my presents?" It was "Mom, did you forget that we don't have enough beach balls?" We were having a party at the local "Splash Pad" and planned to bring a beach ball for every partier to play with (and take home). He was so worried that we didn't have enough. Even though I tried to convince him that the babies (like Cooper and other Cooper-aged siblings) who were coming didn't need a beach ball he pleaded that we find more balls. Thank you dollar store. He blew up at least 20 beach balls all by himself (with a bicycle pump).

The splash pad was so much fun that no games or activities were necessary. Just pizza and gummy-shark cupcakes:
Campbell had a GREAT day and I can honestly say that there wasn't a single present that he wasn't genuinely excited about. That made my Mom sensibilities happy. Although he loved them all, the Bakugons have pulled ahead as the favorites. We'll see how long it lasts. ;-)
I love birthday parties...and so does Isla. She's started planning hers and is excited that her birthday is next (of the kids...she is well aware that Dad's is really next). Everyday she askes if it's her birthday. Oi...you have another 5 months little Isla Bells.
