TWINS?

Not HAVING twins...I just didn't realize that I already had them!
Now, being the "little" sister I've only heard stories about how a younger sibling copying your every move could be annoying...but I never really understood until seeing the sibling dynamics in actions. Isla pretty much thinks she can do anything Campbell can...and for the most part she's pretty successful:

Campbell likes to work at the table (airplanes, pixos or working in his workbooks). I made him switch from the coffee table to the dinner table so that Isla wouldn't get into his crayons/pens/scissors/etc...but, of course, Isla figured out a way to stand at the table. I gave in and got her own coloring book...and, yes, I've found a few chunks of crayon in her diaper.

Campbell and Isla both LOVE their piggy banks and like to put any spare change they find in them. In fact there have been a couple of times that I've here the cute pat, clink, pat, clink of Isla crawling up the stairs with a penny in her hand to put in her piggy bank. (P.S. Isla's bank plays "It's a Small World" when fed while Campbell's says "Feed Me, Feed Me" then tells you the amount...so it turns out that no one can "sneak" a coin into his or her bank. ;-)

In these two pics they also have matching pen marks on their faces - courtesy of Campbell.

Popcorn and a show...enjoyable at any walk of life. But when you're watching with your little sister/big brother it's necessary to have a barrier between you.

And, I know that it's crazy that we're always trying to convince Campbell to watch a movie (he pretty much will only watch Blue's Clues, Max & Ruby or How It's Made) but we've actually gotten him to watch a few movies lately! HUGE step! We watched Horton Hears a Who and Kung Fu Panda. (Random selection, I know, but a neighbor just happened to drop them by.) Isla, on the other hand, will watch anything.

Isla copies me too - putting on make-up (she has a little mirror and touches it then touches her face), carrying bags, putting away shoes, throwing things away, sweeping, closing the door...she can be very helpful (except for when I have to dig the remote control out of the trash). Her favorite things to say are "No way!" and "more."

Campbell is getting really excited about Kindergarten. We visited the school he'll be attending (if we're still here and I hope we're not) and got him all registered. Since he finished his book of Mazes, Dot to Dots & Hidden Pics (got for Christmas, done in Feb) I got him the more advanced Kindergarten activity book and he is anxious to work in it every day. He's also been CRAZY about Pixos lately. To the point where when he's really naughty he gets Pixos taken away rather than airplanes. I never thought I'd see that day!

And I thought I'd put in a little plug for the world's best toy...the cardboard box. Here's a little impromptu family band complete with go-go dancer...and it all started with a new cardboard box.

Funny, those are the 2 kids movies I have saved on our DVR. What a coincidence! Maybe sometime Spencer can show Campbell his kung fu moves he learned from the big fat panda. They bear an eerie resemblance to his rock star moves.
