Hawaiian Delight

Hawaii with kids is a little different than, well, any trip without kids. When you plan a trip to Hawaii you forget that it means that they will be up at 5am...EVERY MORNING. ;-) BUT what that means is that we were ready to feed the fish at 7:30 almost every day. Here's Campbell with a fist full of fish food and the splashes of happy fish behind him. Thanks to the fish identification card around his neck, Campbell became an EXPERT on Hawaii's different fish.

And we would do the beach from 7:30 to 10:30 am avoiding the crowds, and never getting sunburned! Fantastic! Isla worked and worked and worked at walking in the sand. Everyone that saw her was amazed at how well such a little baby could plow through the sand. (She is from Huntington Beach, after all.) I just LOVED her little footprints in the sand.

The whole group after Thanksgiving (believe it or not, we did cook a turkey). Campbell LOVED being with all of his Sheppert cousins even though he's just completely unaccustomed to relating to a big family. When we got home Campbell prayed that we could go back again - but in a different room so that we could be closer to them (we were staying in a different building). I think I need to encourage him to keep praying for it ...I mean he prayed Uncle Pace home from his mission. ;-) Isla loved the action at the Sheppert's place, but poor (immobile) Annie did not appreciate Isla pulling her hair or using her as a step stool - she would start crying just to see Isla coming towards her. Looks like we might have another Madsen brute on our hands.
