At least once a week Ammon and I will be on the couch watching Food Network or going to bed by 10pm and he'll comment about how boring we are. I pretty much have to agree...

Until..

for our birthdays we bought each other new cell phones...wait, more than just cell phones we each got an LG enV Touch and I must say I have proof that we're not boring. (As I am posting this pic Ammon is accusing me of bragging...hmmm, I guess he doesn't really read my blog.) How I have survived without a keyboard or mobile e-mail for so long I'll never know -- but one unexpected benefit is the built-in camera. It's such a decent camera and so easy to get the pics from the camera to the computer that I find myself actually using it (I NEVER used the camera on my old phone) when I wouldn't normally have thought to bring along the camera. So here is mobile "slice of Madsen life" taken with our cool new phones:

We braved the HUGE crowd at the US Open of Surfing to check out the biggest waves we've ever seen and the Nike 6.0 BMX Pro. ...and when we got home Campbell had to show us his daring (and imaginary) new BMX moves on his big wheel.

Here's a shot of Campbell chugging the orange soda he won at our Stake Pioneer Day party and then later that day with his friend Ethan at the Circus. (Ethan got his face painted like "Jack" at the afore mentioned party - totally capturing the Pioneer spirit.)

Bowling for FHE, Isla sitting in her little tent at the beach and the three of us out for a little rollerblade down the beach path (we were heading down to take a pic of Ammon surfing YES SURFING but he was done by the time we got there).
