Come on

So all last week Campbell, Isla and I walked a dog for some friends who were out of town. Now I must say I am very used to getting a lot of "cute baby" comments - and definitely used to a lot of "she's not missing any meals, is she?" or "I can't believe those cheeks!" remarks. But I couldn't believe all of the "cute dog!" comments! In fact, one lady saw the dog and said "ohhh, cute baby" then looked up and saw the actual baby and tacked on "ohhh, you have two cute babies." Dog first? Or even equals? Here is a pic of them together. (Poor Campbell never get's any "cute" comments anymore - he gets something more like looks of disdane for being a rambunctious pre-schooler) Now is the dog really more comment worthy than the baby? IN SUNGLASSES? ...No... PLEASE don't answer that. :-) I'm sure it has to do with being a dog person vs. a baby person and as the mother of the baby I'm a little biased. And I do have to admit...sigh...the dog is cute too

And yes, the teeth are still working there way through. If she lets you in, you can see two ominous white bumps but most of the time now they are securely guarded by her bottom lip. It's actually pretty cute:
