Sheppertville

It was all Sheppert all the time this week. We paid a visit to Vancouver, WA to meet little Annie and attend her baby blessing and then spend Easter and just some good ol' quality time with our family in the Northwest.

Of course there were Easter Baskets:

.......

Even though Isla didn't seem very interested in her Easter basket, she did make a darling Easter bunny.

And there was an Easter egg hunt - Washington style (in the rain). The Grandmas and babies watched from the warm dry house.

.....

We got to spend some time with "the Mo-Matchler" who happens to be my sister-in-law's brother. The "Mo-Matchler" being a title given him by the author of the Seriously So Blessed blog...a popular farce blog which I have to admit I feel a tiny bit uneasy about. Sure she's funny, but I feel like it's at my expense...seeing as I am a "mommy blogger." Does anyone else have any thoughts about SSB? Just curious.

We got a good dose of fickle Northwestern weather - sunny one moment, hailing the next. One day it hailed so much that it looked like a blanket of snow:

We wouldn't be right in the head if we didn't dress Annie and Isla the same and take pictures, would we? Surprise - Isla's only one month older than Annie! They look a little more equal in the arms of Grandma. How did she get so lucky to finally get a granddaughter...and then score another one month later?

...

Now I don't know how it came about that Grandma was jumping on the trampoline with Campbell...but I thought it was a pretty crazy sight so I grabbed the camera. The trampoline is Campbell's most beloved toy at the Sheppert house. He clocked in quite a bit of time (and probably burned a lot of calories) just jumping and jumping and jumping.

Oh, and one more thing...Happy Anniversary Ammon! 6 years and 5 days (...but it seems like 9 years and 20 days. You see the first day seemed like a week, then the second day seemed like three days in the morning and then you went to work and it just seemed like a day. The the fourth day...oh, I've got it all written down, I'll show you in the morning.)

Very cute Easter bunny in deed. Happy Anniversary! Oh and I'm a fan of SSB and love that you were with the mo-matchler--I was curious how those two guys felt about it so I'm excited to find out. I already felt silly about my mommy blogging but gave in to it so I like laughing about it all. Besides-I don't see you heading up the cupcake baking at each of Ammon's send offs and running for president of the rocket wifes club :) I WAS wondering if you got your (it rhymes with goobs) done, JK. See you later.

From what he said this weekend, "mo-matchler Steve" was nominated by about 4 different people and had no idea what he was getting into when he gave his consent. He seems honored, though. And curious about how the girl who is going to "get" to go out with him is going to be chosen. Graciously laughing it all off, though.

And I really really really had to restrain myself from calling Ammon my "Angel-Nugget".
