Isla's flashing more and more enchanting, heartwarming and addicting smiles. Our favorite new game is "try to make the baby smile." Of course Ammon always wins. She's a Daddy's girl. She gets "spoiled on Sunday" - the day he holds her almost from morning to night. She's doing a great job at night sleeping that I'm actually the one who is spoiled. Last night she slept from 11pm to 6:30am.

Here's a photo of Campbell with his beloved paper airplanes. (I counted 17 last night...but I'm sure there are several more lying in dark places around the house.) After much pleading I let him take Falcon (yes, they all have names) to the grocery store and, of course, it got lost. He is sooooooooooooo distraught over this loss. Inconsolable. I couldn't believe I went back to the store to look for a
PAPER airplane. Last night he woke up from a nightmare screaming "Falcon went down the drain - maybe we can get him with a clothes hanger!" (I think it was a reference to his two most traumatic incents of this year: flushing his underpants down the toilet - we went fishing with a wire hanger; and losing a library book down a storm drain.) Perhaps he'll recover from this loss - I suppose it's good for him to learn about loss from something as disposable as a paper airplane and not a puppy or a person.

And this is still the face that Campbell makes when you tell him to smile for the camera. He's showing off the kiss cookies we made for Valentine's Day. It was a great day - we got to go to breakfast with Tina & the Ahearns, miniature golfing and get some lobster and filet mignon from our favorite Asian supermarket to make a fabulous dinner.
This is also an "in progress" picture of our kitchen. The black plastic is covering a hole that is waiting for a microwave and the cabinets are waiting to be stained and then to get new doors.

Buuuuuut unfortunately Ammon broke his foot...AGAIN. Seriously. I had a bad feeling when he came home from playing basketball with a bump on his foot the size of a tangerine. Anyway, he is once again in a huge boot cast. Poor Ammon.

So exciting about the kitchen. Can't wait to see the finished product. Will refrain from any mocking comments about the foot. Thanks for the good laugh!
Sorry about Ammon's foot...Isla is too cute. Ammon was kind enough to hand her over to me the other night and I loved holding your little peanut.
Oh my goodness, the paper airplanes are too funny!!
So does this mean Ammon's not coming golfing with us while we're out there? BOOOO!!!!
I'm so glad that Campbell still loves the paper airplanes. There are plenty more to come throughout the year. In fact, I am saving more to bring with me when we come in a couple of weeks. Perhaps I'll even bring Isla a completed dress.
