We welcomed Baby Isla into the world yesterday morning at 7:36.
Perfect and darling (yes, I'm the mother) she actually arrived on her scheduled c-section date. I had been hoping to not have to go the c-section route...but didn't want to go past that date either. Isla finally decided to cut her Mom a break and came 5 hours early...and so fast that the Dr. had no choice but to just deliver her - she was on her way out with or without him (no c-section necessary - barely even time for an epidural)!
Campbell is genuinely happy to have a little sister, but is showing signs of being very stressed. I'm so glad I was able to come home so quickly and give him some serious attention. I'm sure there will be more to come on that topic.
Grandma's been great on babysitting duty (not an easy task) and Ammon is a natural with a newborn (although he's still wrapping his head around the 3 year old). It feels like a million things have happened the last two days but at the same time it's kind of a shock to be home so quickly and feeling relatively good - although very tired...so since the baby's asleep, I must do the same. Good night and CHEERS!
*** I need to give special credit to the Daltons who ran over her at 6am when we realized we couldn't even wait for my Mom to get here before we left for the hospital!

I love the name...i have to admit, I fell into the 75% that didn't know how to say it at first, but I still liked it either way :)

Oh, you guys.... she is gorgeous. Matches her name perfectly. :)
And now looking at these pictures, I'm reminded of all the ones we forgot to take of Jack, like the first car ride...oops. Better luck next time (if there is one).

Congrats again! She is so cute! I love the name. Of course the initials spell out IBM, so we might have to call her "Little Blue" Yes, I know, I'm a nerd. :D
