Fall is Here (Despite the Heat)

Grandma Mayer came down to the OC on Friday and she went a pickin' with me and Campbell. Here we are at Tanaka Farms - Campbell's picking green beans and onions. (The whole time exclaiming "I LOVE green beans!" and "I LOVE radishes!" He really did love the carrots that he picked...and actually ate a bean or two...but cried when he tried a radish.)

We also got some pumpkins. Campbell painted the little ones and then assigned one to each of us...and we "STARVED" the big one to be a Cookie Monster o' lantern. (I kept trying to correct him with "carved" but he insisted on "starved." Then I asked him him if he knew what "starved" meant and he smiled and said "really really hungry." That's when I realized that he was making a joke...and, geeze, I'm slow!)
