We spent a little time at Grandma Mayer's house. Campbell's suddenly decided that he LOVES swimming! Talk about delayed reaction! He took swim lessons in June...then was afraid of the water all July. I give
Ammon the credit because he just forced Campbell to practice his skills again and again and suddenly it clicked! Fabulous! Here are some pics of us swimming it up at Grandmas house:

The little fish

Turns out, Campbell's tall enough to stand in the shallow end!

The lovely family

Not so lovely family. :-)
Campbell and I took a scorching trip with my Mom to the Huntington Library. Normally the children's garden is great...but it was so hot that the rocks were burning hot and running through the water fountains just wasn't enough. Campbell does love the rock
instrument, though. And I couldn't help but throw caution to the wind and hug a cactus.
...
.....

And I can't help but mention that the family dog had to have an eye removed. (I'm sure no one cares, but I totally have a bleeding heart for animals.) He was pretty much blind anyway, but it's just so sad to see him drugged up with a funnel around his neck and a sewn up eye. I'll spare you pics.
But here's one of Campbell and
Ammon enjoying a swing.

And for all of you who know about my sticker aversion will understand how horrifying this was for me. Of course
Ammon whole
heartedly encourages this kind of behavior.

Your blog is so cute! I am so excited for the new baby coming!
I didn't know that you had a sticker aversion. Leave it to Ammon to encourage such behavior.
Sorry to hear about Prince and I hope he gets feeling better soon.
Thanks for the continual new pic's of the family. Thant is terrific about Campbell getting excited about swimming. We sure miss all of you. I need more business trips down there. :-0
I have found a new job opportunity with Fresenius (that is who is paying for Ben's educations). It is my dream job. I may leave the aerospace world and go somewhere "down to earth."
