My Fair Boy

Grandma Mayer came down on Saturday to take us to the Fair (oh, and do a little babysitting - thank you! :-). We hit the OC Fair right when it opened. I highly recommend this...it's pretty empty in the morning, but the lines were starting to mass as we were leaving just after noon.

My favorite attraction was little petting zoo. Very cool...I mean, I've never pet a wallaby before...or a deer - I can't say that Campbell was overly impressed, but I was pretty psyched.

Ahhhh, "Fair Food"...there's nothing like it. Nothing. Here's a pic of Campbell and Grandma enjoying their corn dog and pulled pork sandwich, respectively. Of course we didn't get a pic of us chowing down on the "Blooming Onion"...perhaps we were too busy...or perhaps it was out of shame. (It's a vegetable, right?)

Campbell was most impressed by the giant garden clock. Seriously...where did I get this kid from? He's just magnetically drawn to numbers!
Oh yeah...his Dad's a rocket scientist.

Heading to Utah on Tuesday! Tuesday also happens to be launch day (cross your fingers). Oh...and Ammon's birthday! (Hope they don't make too much of a to-do for him on the boat...wouldn't want him to get used too it or anything--luckily they'll all be busy launching a rocket...hopefully.)

A wallaby?? Pretty cool!

Spencer loves the giant "tick tock"... apparently he is also drawn to numbers, which is a complete mystery since Ryan and I both suck at (and hate) math. Maybe it's all those Madsen engineer genes?
