This Saturday we had a Primary Activity where we learned about and visited the Newport Beach Temple grounds. Surprisingly, Campbell really seemed to enjoy the entire activity! I could even hear Campbell answering the rhetorical questions that the Temple President was posing - when he was talking to the kids about going inside when they got older Campbell couldn't help but blurt out that his birthday is in July and he
WILL be older. Too cute. It was a very beautiful day and really a lot of fun. (Let me know if you need ideas for a Primary Temple activity...because I think our object lessons worked pretty well too. When I questioned the kids about it on Sunday they weren't too responsive...but the parents all said they really liked it. ;-)

Here's the Madsen Family with Angel Moroni.

Here is Campbell hamming it up as the Bishop is telling the kids about the temple doors.
Oh, and I do believe that Ammon had a somewhat Happy Father's Day. Of course, I didn't think to take a picture. We ate lots of bacon and lemon meringue pie.

Bacon, good. Lemon meringue, good. But a pie with both - no thank you.
Incidentally, Christy found some sausages the other day with bacon and pineapple seasoning. I'll be trying one out later today I believe.
Bacon....mmmmmmmm
I think our ward in Bountiful did a similar temple activity.... I was just the pianist so I didn't go, but I remember the kids were talking about it for a long time to come.
