A Little Tooooo Quiet

You know those moments when you realize that 2/3 year old is being a little too quiet? You know he has to be up to no good drop what your doing rush to where he is? This is what I found yesterday:
Yes, he had gotten a hold of a travel size bottle of baby wash and poured the entire thing all over his body and was rubbing it in. It looked like he was covered in honey...I couldn't help but grab the camera. Hey, at least he was very very clean. :-)

And Another Cute Quote:
Yesterday Campbell brought his stool over to the sink where I was washing a cutting board that I had used for raw meat. Of course he put his hands on it just as the timer buzzed indicating that the meat was done. I grabbed Campbell's hands (so that I could wash them before he touched his mouth) and yelled to Ammon to "take the ham off." (The stove, of course.) Campbell immediately started yelling "NO, DADDY, NO - DON'T TAKE THE HAND OFF, DON'T TAKE THE HAND OFF." Poor Campbell had to suffer until we could stop laughing long enough to explain that I said "HAM" and not "HAND." I'm still laughing about it.

That is so funny. I love to listen to what kids come up with. I hope things are going good out there. I can't wait to see you guys!

too bad ammon didn't pick up the knife to start cutting the ham at that point... :) poor campbell!

i love the body wash thing - i caught my niece in my travel lotion...rubbing it all over. At least we enjoyed some quiet time though :)

When they're babies, silence is golden. But now.... it usually means disaster. Like today at G&G's house, I found Spencer creating a swimming pool in the kitchen. Sometimes water dispensers in the fridge door are a little too convenient.

That poor kid is never going to eat ham again. :)

"DON'T TAKE THE HAND OFF!!!!"

I love it! Too bad the same situation that causes us so much laughter was probably terrifying to poor Campbell.

Too funny! I always get a bad feeling when it's too quiet around here...and usually for good reason.
