BOO!

We had to use much persuasion to get Campbell in his lion costume for our ward Halloween party last night...he cried as I put on the pants saying "no lion, no lion" - and then at the end of the night when taking off the pants he cried again saying "I want to be a lion!" I reassured him that it wasn't even Halloween yet and that he'd have another chance or two to "be a lion."

Ammon and I went on safari and found our very own lion!

Yuck...I just had to take a pic of the gross specimen jars I made for the haunted house at the party. I had already thrown out the "juice" for the "witch eyeballs" when it occured to me to take a picture...but I think you get the idea. ;-)

Campbell's very first "trick or treat"... or at least the first one where he could actually say "trick or treat." It was also the first time he really understood what he was getting. Note the black mouth - this was an effect of some black frosting on a cupcake. If you this the mouth is bad you wouldn't believe what it did to his rear-end on the way out! I'd take a picture of that if it wasn't so...well, you know.

And below...let's just say that this is Campbell thinking outside of the box.

Good job on making him be the lion, mom. That's your job. Making your kids do stuff that supposed to be fun!

The ghoulish specimens are so beautiful. I guess that's what happens when an artist is the mastermind.

I love the costume idea - how fun! We can't wait to see you guys in a couple of weeks. I have been counting down since we decided to come :) Do you guys need anything from Utah??

Did Ammon teach him that trick? Keep the bandaids handy for when he runs over his nose.

Way to go on the lion costume! Next year I need to pick your creative brain so Ryan and I can be dressed up too. I still haven't managed to get Spencer into his cowboy costume. Today he cried when I simply held up the vest.

I love the costumes! Campbell is especially cute. You are so creative with your jars for the haunted house. We could not even come up with a good idea to carve a pumpkin last night. Landry was terrified of his lion costume. Luckily, he finally came around.

We used to call that last one "making ice cream" when I was a kid. Not sure why, since the pedals on a big wheel remind me of no ice cream maker I've ever seen.

It's amazing how creative Ammon is with the costumes, etc. Maybe, that creativity will rub off on you someday Kristen.
