This is a drawing I did of Campbell and Papa.Well, I haven't written anything for a couple of weeks because the news around here hasn't been good...and it's pretty miserable to write (and read) bad news.
We lost Jerry on September 13th. We had the funeral last Saturday. It's been sad but everyone's relieved that he's finally out of the pain he's been suffering for so long. And it was very good to see all of the friends and family that came out for the funeral. It was the first time that all of my Mom's brothers and sisters have been together for years! We also had a reunion of most of the kids that have lived with my parents (they're famous for taking in strays). For those of you who don't know the intimate details of my family...Jerry has been my Step-Dad since I was about 5 years old. My real Dad died when I was 3 so he's the only Dad I've ever really known (...and he legally adopted me and my brother.) Needless to say, Campbell and I have been spending a lot of time with Grandma Mayer lately.
I'll be writing more soon...we've gotten the camera back and I'm finally back in writing gear.
