Thirtysomething...

Please don't make me tell you the "something."

On my birthday Ammon came home from work early and we all went to Disneyland. It was surprisingly empty! It seems that the Great Line of Nemo has pulled people away from standing in their usual line for Small World so we actually felt justified going on it (I mean with no wait). And did you know there were Dinosaurs at Disneyland? We didn't and we thought it was a great surprise when we took the Train ride around the park.

Ammon's one job was to get me a cake...from a nice bakery. And did he pull through? I kept bugging him about it at Disneyland but he kept brushing me off. Then we came home to find...nothing. Yes, I was a little disappointed...which caused Ammon to finally break down and hint to me that he has a habit of NEVER getting things on time and that we would be having cake...with friends. Sure enough Tuesday night Ammon produced a GIANT Tres Leches cake (with strawberries). Delicious! He also invite a string of some local friends to stop by to share the cake...fun. We still have a ton of cake though (which I have eaten for breakfast and lunch)...anyone else want to stop by?

Jerry's staying somewhat the same...he's very frail and often quite disoriented. They found more cancer which is not good -- but he is almost over his virus which is good.

Just like last year, Campbell did not care for swimming for the first week, but this week he's really been excited about it. He's almost floating on his back by himself and he swam a little ways (with the help of a noodle) all by himself. He LOVES standing where he can barely touch the bottom and jumping and jumping and jumping. Oh, and he also loves the Hokey Pokey.

So I was just looking for and old photo to post when I noticed that you can post video...so here's a cute video from before the camera breaking incident. Very cute.

I can tell that the boy is suffering under tutelage. Seriously, the jumprope skills aren't falling far from the old mustachio'd tree.

Happy Birthday. Hopefully the package of the birthday stuff Rachel got you showed up on time.

Tell Ammon my procrastination period for the bike ride will probably only be six months, not 18.

Happy Birthday!! Tres Leches cake - yum. It is really unfair to talk about such things when one is unable to fulfill the craving that mentioning such things creates. Cute video!
