Campbell's birthday finally arrived. We had a beach ball swim party on Saturday. We had lots and lots of beach balls which Campbell couldn't resist kicking all over the place. (In fact, I'm told that his nickname at my gym's Kids Klub is "Baby Beckam")
They got to beat down the pinata that Campbell and I have been working on for the past couple of weeks. He had a great time hitting it with a stick and only let out one cry of distress when it really broke open. Blake Justice did the honors of finishing it off.
Campbell worked REALLY hard at blowing out the candle (we did practice a few times in the last week). He did it all by himself and as it turns out, it was the most memorable part of the party. When we ask him what he did at his birthday party he replies "blow out the candle."
Of course, he opted for a cupcake rather than some of the actual cake. Cupcakes were the one thing that he actually requested for his birthday.
He was really blown away by the presents. I don't think he really believed they were all for him until we actually took them home. We have some great friends (and one Grandma who was able to come) who all brought just the right things! Thanks for everyone's support!
We'll see how much he likes his birthday after his visit to the Dr. tomorrow for shots!!!
NEXT WEEK...to Idaho for Ben's wedding and to Utah to be spoiled by more Grandparents AND Ammon's Birthday!

Happy BIRTHDAY to Campbell!! Birthday's are so fun! I am going to need you around here to plan the birthday's for my kids - it looked like more fun than I have at mine :) I wish we could have been there! Can't wait to see you guys this weekend...well, just know that if I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off, that I am really glad that you are there :) ha ha.
It looks like Campbell had a great birthday! I know Spencer's excited to see Campbell again. Every time we say that he gets to see Campbell this week he gets all excited and says "oohhh" and sometimes it's "wow!"
